How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Atlantic East Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

As someone who not only says but lives by the phrase, they're not just a pet but a member of my family, I absolutely recommend Dr. Batten and every member of her staff. They put every bit of their kindness, compassion, and attention into their patients. They always treat my baby well and gain his trust for every interaction. This is a practice I drive 30 minutes one way to get to, and would drive an hour or more to go to because of how well they treat my cat. I can only hope to find another vet even half as positive as this place when I move out of state soon. A personal opinion of mine is that when it comes to the welfare of an animal, it doesn't matter if it's an inconvenience to me to make sure my cat is taken care of. I'll do it regardless. Because I have to be his caretaker and advocate. It's what people sign up for when adopting. Dr. Batten will be there to help her patients (you know the animals not the human owners) and be their advocate for what they need to heal and live long and healthy lives. It's the owners job to listen. P.S. my cat is skittish around new people and hides from them at home. He loves all the attention at the vet, the picture speaks for itself.

We’ve been going to Atlantic East Animal Clinic for a while and have always been very satisfied. Even in urgent situations, they’ve taken our dog in immediately and helped right away. Their support is excellent. A few times we needed paperwork or certificates, and they prepared them quickly. They even gave us ointment for our cat free of charge and exchanged a product we had mistakenly bought in the wrong dosage. The people here are incredibly kind and patient with animals. They offer treats, talk to the pets, calm them down, and show genuine care. They remember names and personalities, and always speak with warmth and kindness. Highly recommend this clinic — we always feel supported here, and our pets are treated with love and respect.

I had a really disappointing experience with Atlantic East Animal Clinic. The biggest issue was the management staff. They were rude, dismissive, and acted like my concerns were an inconvenience instead of something they should actually care about. When you’re trusting a clinic with your pet, you expect compassion and professionalism, but that was not the vibe at all. On top of that, the doctor barely acknowledged me and hardly spoke to me as the owner. I felt like I was being rushed through instead of being included in what was going on with my pet. There was very little communication, and I left feeling more confused and frustrated than reassured. The whole experience felt unorganized and stressful. Instead of trying to help or explain things clearly, the staff came off nasty and impatient. It made an already stressful situation way worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel respected, heard, or confident that their pet is in good hands. There are other clinics that treat people and animals with way more care

Dr. Batten at Atlantic East has been my Dogs Vet for close to 9 years. Her and all of the employees there have always been professional and great to interact with. She has performed multiple operations for my pup, and he has healed great from every one of them. I would absolutely recommend them if you're looking for a new Vet clinic to care for your pets.

Dr. Batten is a kind, compassionate and skilled veterinarian. Thinks outside of the box and communicates thoroughly with her clients. My fur babies love her and the staff. I would highly recommend to friends and family.!
