How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Veterinary Center
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Communication Preferences

Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

I am very happy with the way my puppy has been treated at the office. Everyone is so nice and kind. My questions are answered fully and without being rushed.

Animal Veterinary Center is the BEST!!! Our pup recently had her spay surgery which is a stressful time for all. They were great! From before the procedure explaining everything and answering all of our questions until after when they called to assure us that everything went well they were top notch! Not only are they excellent in veterinary care, they truly care about your pet and their customers! The next day we were surprised to get a call from them. The reason, just making sure our baby was doing well and to see if we had any more questions. We recently moved down to Middletown and now drive by probably a half dozen other vets but we would not even think about changing…..Animal Veterinary Center is the best!

Two retired Service Dogs have been taken care of most all their lives at Animal Veterinary Center. Gizmo (14) and Gunner (12) are Labradors aging gracefully and as healthy as senior dogs can be. They are still having fun but just a little slower. I am grateful for the excellent (at times expensive) care they receive.

They were very welcoming for our first visit and answered all questions. Dr. Renee Boggs provided a rationale throughout the exam and her clinical expertise on what is best for our puppy. Very nice staff!

The dr’s are great there , been going for 20 years . I was disappointed with the aftercare of my dog’s spayed surgery and tooth extraction. When I went to pick her up she was soaked with her own saliva from the tooth removal . The entire front of her was soaked Her paws were wet and of course her mouth . Did no one care enough to put a small towel there , so she layer in her own saliva for the time she was in recovery ? I also supplied a recovery suit for her so they would not need to-use the the E collar on her (saved them the cost of the collar )They never bothered to put it on her ! They handed it back to me in the bag . I could have saved money taking her somewhere else but I chose to stay with them out of respect , loyalist, and trust . I am sure that they are short staffed but I am so disappointed.
