How to Save Money at Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Careful ... Well my family and I decided to buy a package deal offered, as the stray kitten I caught was in need of medical attention and figured we'd save a couple bucks and get some extra attention for future protection it came to around 400$ after the first shots they told us keep and eye on her and don't return until at least a few weeks I then informed them I usually get texts informing me of upcoming appointments and that works as I do not like computers or emails only every few months or so they said they understood, I said okay thanked them and went home keeping on eye on her for any adverse reactions as that was on the paper... the only paper I walked out with besides my receipt. I called made an appointment and returned later as I had gotten zero contact from them, checked in they said they see the package deal ,I stated I'm here to finish that... then after waiting over an hour in line the veterinarians in the glass box informed me that too much time had passed and they couldn't honor the purchased package deal . I got the minimum required for her and my other cat, as to not hold all the other people up ... then at home I tried calling their main office ,they informed me that they will not administer the rest of the package deals medicine and that they also don't give any type of refunds ... I just wanted what I paid for ... Be careful if you choose the " package deals" there is no fine print to read unless you're computer savvy enough to find it. I won't be returning here .

Arrived on time for my appointment. Had to wait 27 minutes while walk ins were checked in ahead of me, then had to wait while all the walk ins were seen ahead of me. Basically an appointment time is useless since it seems walk ins are given priority. When my cat was eventually seen almost an hour past my appointment time everything went fine.

Very professional and great with my dog. Can't beat the prices too! Got him fully vaccinated and microchiped for a fraction of what the vet would charge. Will be returning for all my veterinary needs from now on.

0 STARS! Horrible Vet. I went to take my dog for shots and the staff was so unprofessional and made my dog's anxiety worse! Made me put a muzzle on her (after watching a 100lb dog not be muzzled for his shots) and the staff never greeted her when entering the exam room, making her anxiety worse! Needless to say they were too afraid to give her the shots. She's a sweet 55lb boxer/husky mix. They made sure to mark my dog's chart that she needs a muzzle and anxiety meds (which she has NEVER needed in the past- HAS NEVER WORE A MUZZLE IN HER 3 YEARS NOR TAKEN ANXIETY MEDS) Plus the woman giving the shots was so old and Shakey! Never going back there! Spend the extra money and go to your REAL vet.
