I am very pleased with VCA New London! They helped me through the worst tragedy with my Beloved Charlie, a 110lb GodenDoodle, who had tumors growing on his pancreas and spreading. My former Vet didn’t seem to care enough to see him. When I tried to get in with another vet in the New London area, they made me wait for weeks to even MAKE the appointment. If I had waited, Charlie would have died a painful death before the appointment would have come up. The Staff and the Doctors at VCA are caring. They care about our pets, the people and most importantly, the relationship between a Dog and the People they have become attached to. God Bless them and what they have done to ease Charlie’s pain and ours. You have my loyalty as being our Vet.

I took my dog, Penny, in for a severe allergic reaction. They had immediate availability for urgent care. The staff were very kind and helpful over the phone and in person. When we arrived, my dog was seen and treated immediately. The office was nice and the rooms were large and clean. The vet was kind, approachable, and forthright. He also made sure I left with clear instruction. The cost was very reasonable. I spent far less than I anticipated. I would bring my pets here again. Great job staff, and thank you for helping my girl!

The staff have been wonderful with Riley and my sister's cats. However, some od administrative staff are often unfriendly and rude. The doctors are very slow to get back to you with test results. And lastly, and sadly sometimes they are very incompetent and do not catch things. It's almost as if the ones that are most experienced go to other places, and we end up with a new crew all the time and they do not know enough.

I have heard of predatory lenders, but this is the first predatory vet I have ever come across. One visit was nearly 1000 dollars. Said I couldn’t pay it. They said sign up for our vet plan. Did. Took my dog in for his shot visit and he got sick immediately after visiting the office. They said they could take him in cause he could be contagious. Came to the car and said they really did not know the symptoms but could do an Xray for 750 dollars. They would take him in To do the xray, of course after I agreed to pay for the xray. Said I couldn’t pay not afford that now and they legit said I couldn’t upgrade my package or sign up for one of their credit cards. WOW!!! My recommendation is to not go here. I will say that they did give us meds after my wife broke down crying, so that is good for a star.

We are new patients, made the appointment online Sunday PM and got a call Monday morning with an earlier availability. Quick and very thorough visit, I could tell that the Dr and vet RN really cared about our kitty and knew what they were talking about. All questions answered and all options considered, nice job with transparency. I’ve been to some nightmare pet care facilities and finding this place was a big relief. Looking forward to continued (hopefully) wellness checks. Thank you x a million
