How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Shoreline Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Based on recommendations from shoreline residents, I moved my rescued Havanese ("Cha Cha") from a vet facility in Guildford to Shoreline Animal Hospital in Clinton. I am VERY glad that I did. Usually skittish, Cha Cha was eased through a surgical procedure, near her eye, with minimal anxiety & stellar results. The entire staff works with efficiency, precision, compassion, and the highest level of expertise. I feel very fortunate to have found this team! If you love your pet, this is the practice for you.

I wish to warn people about Shoreline Animal Hospital on Route 1 in Clinton. I have been taking my pets to Shoreline Animal Hospital for a while. My last visit there was last week. I was given medicine to apply to both of my pets' ears. The prescription label, typed by a staff member, does not indicate how long the medicine should be applied. I called the clinic today to inquire and I spoke with the office manager, Tanelle, who was more than rude to me. I asked her if she would please "ask the vet how long my cats should receiving the medication" and in a condescending tone she said: "it says it right on the label, Honey," which, it does not. When I asked her to please ask the vet, she told me she would send me my pet's medical records and I could go to another practice. I was shocked. No person who is in a supposed position of being a "manager" should ever speak to a client as I was spoken to or act as the woman does. In addition, this practice overcharges for items. (For example, among other examples, they charge $8.00 to throw a Q-Tip in the garbage in the exam room and they call it a "medical waste" fee.) Be very careful if you decide to take your pets to this facility and, if you do, I recommend you speak with anyone but their office manager, Tanelle. A VERY bad experience here, because of this "office manager," who is horrible in relating to people. I would hope to get a call from the owner of this practice apologizing to me for the way I was treated and, but the fierce way I was rebuked when all I asked for is verification from the vet on how long my pet should be receiving the medication, I would be surprised if this would happen.but the way I was rebuked by their office manager when all I asked for is verification from the vet on how long my pet should be receiving the medication, I would be surprised if this would happen.

I have taken my pets to Shoreline Animal Hospital for years now. I have never had a bad experience, and I will never take my dogs to any other vet. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. We usually work with Dr. Berman, who has taken the time to get to know our 2 big dogs- and never once mentioned their breed. With two VERY large (and friendly) pit bulls, it isn't always easy to find a vet who can see past the breed, and instead sees the heart and soul of two loving rescue dogs. We left our previous vet for that very reason, and it was the best decision we ever made.

They are absolutely fantastic! In the 4 years they have been caring for my two dogs, I have had nothing but the best service. Every staff member from the front desk staff to the vet techs to the veterinarians are all fantastic. I have already referred family and would recommend this vet to anybody in the area.

I have been bringing my pets here since the 80s. Dr. Weston dr. Behrman are very knowledgeable competent professionals. I have had to put down two cats and the compassion from the whole staff was overwhelming. I even received a sympathy card. Really above and beyond. Highly recommended
