How to Save on Veterinary Costs at High Peaks Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Kayla is a fantastic vet! We have never left this place without a smile on our face. You really can tell when someone cares about people and their pets. That’s exactly what your experience will be at High Peaks. In addition, it truly is a very nice and very clean facility. That’s KEY at a vet’s office. Yes, a trip the vet is always costly, but I am so happy to know my money is going towards this town and these fine people. We have a true gem of a vet. As an added bonus, it’s appropriately right next door the dog park!

We have had several pets cared for by Dr. Ingram. She runs a high quality clinic with well trained and caring staff. When using the boarding service our dogs were always well cared for and loved upon. With one of our dogs we had to face the reality of lung cancer - there is no one else we would have wanted with us through that tough time - expert care and advice, empathetic understanding, and quiet peace at the time we had to let go. This is a great place!

I am so glad I found this place. My pup went in for a dental cleaning and they do a mandatory blood screening because of the anesthesia required for the procedure and they found some counts out of wack and sent me to Colorado Canine Orthopedics for an ultrasound. They found his gallbladder was filled full of sludge. Put him on some meds and he is doing really well. If it wasn’t for the blood panel required for surgery, we may not have caught this issue. They could have simply took my money and did the surgery but they cared for his health instead
