If your animal is going to have a surgery at this place, PLEASE ask if it will be what they call a "clean" surgery. Unfortunately, we were never told that some surgeries they do as a "clean" surgery. This means they use NO antibiotics during the surgery and don't send any home with you for your pet. We were NOT told our dog's LARGE mass removal would be without antibiotics aka a "clean" surgery. Two days after the surgery I sent a picture in showing a red spot. She answered that it was a "seroma" and nothing to be worried about. The third day a lot of redness appeared. Again I sent in a picture and was told it was bruising!! And to bring him in Monday....they wanted us to wait 2 more days before checking him out!! We didn't wait. We took him to Pueblo's one and only Urgent Animal Care. They couldn't halp him. At midnight we drove to Colorado Springs to the Southern Rockies Veterinarian Animal Hospital. Despite their efforts he was too full of sepsis and we lost our presciouswe lost our precious dog 5 days after his surgery....which should have been an easy heal. Never have a surgery done on your pet without asking/demanding them to use antibiotics even if they call the surgery a "clean" surgery. He had to have gotten his infection during the surgery. He was not outside after he was home except to potty and that was on a leash.

My two dogs Tater and Jasmine were seen at Pueblo West Veterinary Clinic since 2013 until they both recently moved on. During this time they received excellent care. The staff is very friendly and compassionate. My future pets will definitely be seen here. I can't recommend highly enough.

We have 2 lrg dogs, 60 lbs +. These folks have been great, we've been using them for over 6 yrs. And we'll be back😃👍😎

This Vet group is the best. Very caring, supportive and competent with their knowledge. We’ve been using this clinic since it opened, over 10 years now.. I highly recommend them.
