How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Steiner SILS Affordable Vet Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

The employees at Steiner Vet are great. I brought my boy Bear in to Sterling and they fixed him right up, all at an affordable price. Thnx to the staff for all they do.

My dogs name is Lucky he is a Pitbull mix with husky he got up to date on shots and was neutered - I absolutely love this clinic. They answered all my questions. I recommend it to everyone. I was scared and nervous to take my dog to a vet because he has really bad anxiety, but they were great with him. He makes accidents when he gets scared/nervous. When he did I apologized and went to go clean it and the guy stopped me and says “some animals do that when they are scared, I got it” he then cleaned it up and reassured Lucky and I that everything was going to be alright. They walked him around a little and petted him before putting him in a kennel, it was nice and reassuring that my baby was going to be taken care of. I trust this clinic the workers are great.

The most affordable vet I've ever been to. I've taken all 4 of my dogs here for shots and spay/neuter and will definitely use them again!

Negligence from this facility has left our 9 week kitten dead. Went in for the usual check-up/vaccination. She was given the usual vaccinations, treatment for ear mites, and dewormer. After two hours this left our baby unresponsive. We rushed her to another emergency vet since Steiner does not provide emergency service or numbers in case of emergency. From there, we were told that our kitten was given an excess amount of drugs that her small body could not handle (she was 1 1/2 lbs). She had passed that next morning. Steiner did pay for our bill but, I did not appreciate the fact that the Dr who killed our kitten called asking for questions. It seemed to me as though she was trying to shift the blame for our baby’s OD on someone else rather than just apologizing. I would highly recommend going somewhere else and paying the extra bit of money for your own animals safety. As this was a BASIC CHECK UP and should’ve ultimately never happen.
