While I was sorry to now hear of Dr. Dugan's retirement (now almost a year ago), I want to commend him for his 32 years of expert and professional ophthalmology treatment for all animals, but especially for my German Shepherd, Annabelle. He treated her for conjunctivitis, probably about 25 years ago and she has been long passed, at age age 12, but I was in there when he examined her eyes, and Dr. Dugan's detailed and attention to even subtle changes in my dog's eyes, brought me to a conclusion that said I would trust him with operating on my own eyes. He set the gold standard 32 years ago when he began Eye Specialists for Animals, and I wish him all the best in his retirement. He has definitely earned it. Thank you, Dr. Dugan, all the best to you and yours.! Rebecca and Annabelle

This is an update to a review and a surgery of my sparky. I travel for work from Texas and he needed eye surgery. The right eye looks good and was done here and in 4 years never had an issue. Fast forward his other I started to give him issues. I took him to an eye specialist in Arizona drove 2 hours one way and quoted me $5,000 he was charging me for all kinds of things that's five times more than I paid here. Then in Utah I finally found a doctor who would agree to do it. Although a nice doctor he definitely chopped up his eye. I literally cried when I picked him up it looked so horrific. And he was so out of it not like when I picked him up from here. And every couple of months we have an issue with the eye. I sure wish I still would have been in Colorado Springs and went here when the other I had the issues.

My vet, Dr. Mortenson, in Pueblo Small Animal Clinic referred me to Eye Specialist’s in Colorado Springs and they’ve treated my Frenchie for Eye Basement Disease a common eye disease with Boxers. She is doing beautifully after her treatment and eye meds. We return Dec 17 for follow up. I’m so grateful to them!

My 9 year old dog was diagnosed with Diabetes and then got diabetic cataract which made him go fully blind. This was heartbreaking for us and after meeting with this office we had hope. Cooper had cataract surgery on both eyes and was able to see immediately after the surgery!! He is now 2 months post op and is doing amazing and back to his old self able to see again. I want to share my gratitude for the doctors and employees at this office who gave vision back to my baby. Great place highly recommend!

Amazing vets and staff! Everyone is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They explain everything, answer my numerous questions, and I never feel rushed. They caught my dog's aggressively growing cataracts when every other vet office ignored or dismissed my concerns. They are super gentle with and already knew the appropriate way to handle my fearful dog. My dog, who is scared of everything, loves the staff so much that she asks for pets from everyone, which is incredibly rare for her. I can't say enough good things about them. Fully recommend!
