How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Davies Animal Medical Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Had to euth our sweet 11y/o german shepherd girl today, staff was amazing especially the tech who administered her cannula, she was a genuine sweetheart! Sadly, I didn’t catch her name. Staff was efficient and able to get us an appointment in a quick manner for our sweet girl. The Dr and whole staff were compassionate and good to our old girl as well as us.

I've been going there for years. I went in cuz my dog Sammy had an ear infection. By the time I left there it was $600 and the doctor didn't tell me that I needed to come back two weeks later and they didn't give me an appointment for that either so her ear infection got worse. Had to go back and they blamed me for it. Oh you were supposed to come back in two weeks. Nobody told me now I have to spend more money of course I was really upset for them dropping the ball. Nobody apologized. Nobody seemed to care so I said some things. Now they don't even want to see me anymore. They said I should go somewhere else. They have no compassion for animals as far as I'm concerned after what they did. Believe me, I'll never go back there again. Just letting people be aware. There's very few vet hospitals in Yuba Sutter and they're really high. Prices are ridiculous, do you believe this? The owners responded. They said they respect my decision. It wasn't my decision. They're the ones that told me to find another vet after they didn't give me a follow-up appointment For Sammy's ear which got worse And they charged me more. I went back after that to get her. Her flea tick and worms medication told me to leave and wouldn't see me. My opinion to that. They have so many customers make so much money. They don't need another customer. I hope that's the case. Pathetic people over there

My favorites are Dr Perez who I have been seeing for 6 years and Dr Liddar who I see when Perez is not available. I love their laid back style without being pushy but great knowledge base to educate on why treatments options are important versus more optional. I breed golden retrievers so we are at this office all the time and I love the staff as well. Yes they have grown and added people and changed a bit but it’s all to help our pets get the services they need when they need them !

I’ve been a client of Davies for 35 years and always received great care for my dogs and cats. This past couple of months, Dr. Medley was just wonderful. I so appreciated her thorough attention to every step in the process of getting my dog’s blood pressure and dental issues under control and personally keping me informed at each point.
