How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Sierra Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Monroe and his team are incredible. We’ve been going to him for years. He took care of our long-hair German Shepherd and the whole team showed so much support & love. Our boy is recovering well from surgery. Thank you!!

Dr. Monroe has been our family vet for over 20 years. He’s kind, gentle, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The Staff are always friendly, supportive and helpful. I am so grateful for all they do, even when hard choices need to be made.

Prices are very reasonable especially being in a tourist town. He is extremely sweet and will answer all questions and concerns. Dr.Monroe was my very first dogs vet from caring for my dog at 8months to helping me lay her to rest at 11years. I now bring her brother, I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else💕 he truly cares about our family members, his whole staff is super friendly as well they have seen me at my highest and have been very understanding at my lowest. Nunaki has 3/4 bonus moms there and I’m at ease knowing he is being well taken care of. Thank you Dr.Monroe and staff🫶🫶🫶

Our first visit to Sierra Veterinary Hospital was nothing short of exceptional. What started as a routine wellness check quickly turned into a lifesaving experience, thanks to the outstanding Dr. Michelle Lam and her amazing assistant, Bailee. They immediately identified the issue and resolved it with care and precision. The clinic itself is spotless and well-organized, and the entire staff exudes professionalism and genuine love for animals. We are so grateful for the incredible care our puppy received. In less than a day, he’s already feeling so much better. We can’t thank Dr. Lam, Bailee, and the entire team enough for their dedication and compassion. If you’re looking for a vet you can trust wholeheartedly, this is the place. Thank you, Sierra Veterinary Clinic—you truly rock! Angie and Chewbacca

They refuse to give quotes when asked and despite me going there for her other care, they told me they simply cannot remove a splinter without payment. They don’t care about loyalty or your questions. When I said I find it disappointing that he tells me he can’t help an animal without money, he suggests to me that I get some sort of insurance plan so he can get his money. No thanks bud I just won’t ever come back here and have to use warm Epsom salt to get it out over time even though you could have easily just had a heart instead of a wallet. Gross, deceitful, incompetent people surround us when we want medical attention for ourselves or our loved ones.
