How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Alpine Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My dog Maggie has a history of occasional seizures. She had a particularly bad one today and I was in town on vacation with her when it happened. I called Alpine very panicked and wanting to bring her down asap as they were near my hotel. They saw her spur of the moment and everyone there was extremely kind and attentive to her. The vet was very knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care. I'm EXTREMELY GRATEFUL. I love Maggie so much and I am so glad I could get her seen today. Thank you Alpine!

I got a voucher for my dog to be neutered. Picked Aline do to the reviews. Horrible experience. They used the sutures to close my dog up. Then had to reopen the wounds to close them with the correct type. Had to put him under twice. Then we get home and they got hair in his new cut and closed in it. Super swollen. I get it his nuts didn’t drop which makes it harder but overall I’ll use another vet.

I have a small female boxer who is a year to a year and a half old. I have had her a month and Lea, the vet tech, made sure my dog,Lita, was comfortable and not fearful . Lea got down on the floor with Lita and gave her a few treats and was so reassuring. I really appreciated the time she took with us ! It will make the next visit so much better for Lita and me :) Thank you Lea!

Very disappointed, today, first women at desk had trouble finding appointment, ( I was just under 15 min late I have to travel 20-25 min to get there) then when she found it, said OHHHH Your late., like some sort a criminal. I offered to wait (just needed follow-up check of ears for our dog), and she said well the person who is on time needs to go in now but I could leave the dog in the back, so they could get to her later. My dog was shivering with fear (unusual for her - wondered why and if she had a bad experience on the last visit) so I offered to wait with her, but I was told that was not possible. Many, times I have waited patiently for more than 20 minutes, with my dog to be seen by the vet or nurse, and was never rude to them.... Maybe they just have so many customers, they can afford to be rude. Maybe it is best, I need to read the way my dog was feeling afraid, and find a more friendly place.
