How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Santa Rosa Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I'm so happy that I was able to get some help for my guinea pig, as she was having some problems breathing and there are so few cavy-friendly vets around here. I booked my appointment for the beginning of the week, as soon as they could take her. Our care team worked to get my pet the help she needed immediately! I'm so grateful to everyone at SRVH for their help, kindness, and patience in such a stressful time!

Best Vet in Santa Rosa! Every single person that works here is so kind and lovely. My dogs are high anxiety when it comes to their check ups but this clinic and it's staff make the experience as stress-free and pleasant as they can. They are up front about costs and provide plenty of options for care. Having a great Vet is so important and Dr. Jan is an absolute gem! Highly recommend!!!

We love Santa Rosa Veterinary Hospital! We've always been treated kindly and professionally, and they clearly love my dogs. Treatment options are thoroughly explained. Not the least expensive vet in town, but then again, you get what you pay for!

I have birds and it's very difficult to find a vet in this area that will treat them. Dr. Foster has treated two of my birds so far this year and has been nothing been gentle with them. She explains what is going on in a way that is understandable. Frankly, I have her on speed dial and will most certainly bring my birds here when needed. The entire staff is wonderful.
