How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Watt Avenue Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. B is thorough and empathetic. She referred us to UC Davis and remained involved in every step of the way. We had bounced around a couple of vets and now that we have found her, M is not scared anymore. They listen intelligently. Highly recommend this pets care clinic.

Excellent veterinarian doctor. Knowns her profession. Strawberry, my toy poodle has been going since he was six months. He is comfortable with the staff which is important to me. I notice that other clients feel secure about this place. The doctor is definitely a animal lover because the service is outstanding.

I got my two american bully’s ears cropped here. It was a four hour round trip for me to come here but Sacramento was the closest place offering ear cropping to me. I did have to come once for consultation and then again for the surgery and once more for rewrapping the ears. They taught me how to wrap myself so I didn’t have to keep coming back. The staff was very helpful and sweet. My dogs ears have healed wonderfully and stand up straight. Thank you!

It is disgusting that these people who are supposedly here to care for your pet advertise cruel practices like ear cropping and declawing. Theyre money hungry and do not care about how unnecessary COSMEDIC modifications affect on your pet so long as they get paid. so many other hospitals to choose from that do not mutilate your pet. Disappointing they enable people who treat dogs and cats as objects by doing this.

Useless office. Do not give them your money, do not visit them in an emergency, do not fall for their tricks. They will make tell you come in at 5 to pick up your pet and make you wait untill 7 before they just toss your pet at you and push you out the door. They will say they will call you back in a few hours, and not call for days past when they promised. They say "will call at 530" on days they close at 4pm, so they just straight lie. They quote low, and then come up with fake reasons they needed to charge more, or will over treat your pet to make more costs. The vet literally told me she was doing something she was recently told not to do in her Veterinary School classes, just ignoring medical standards??? The front desk people are super nice, probably because they are paid a ton with how much they charge, so of course their nice, they just want your money. Everyone who has something bad to say about them is telling the truth, they are a terrible vet.
