How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Feline Veterinary Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Always friendly and caring. It's one of the last independent vets, so support them!

We have a very delicate and special kitten (a Sphynx, lots of unique health issues) and the veterinarian (Dr. Brownstone) was very knowledgeable and experienced. This is now our main cat vet, despite it being a pretty long trip for us. Definitely recommend!

There's a lot of places to go to get veterinary care. After my cat had gotten quite sick I had called around and this was one of the few places that was willing to shuffle their schedule around to see her. The staff and the vet were all very kind and accommodating, despite COVID restrictions. The care here and personal attention is greatly appreciated. I know that experiences will vary, but I've been to quite a few vets and this place stands out. We had to have one of our cats put down, and I won't drove on, but the care showed. Our other cat had gotten into a fight and got sick. Was handled well, promptly, and with clear options laid out. Another thing I have to comment on is their billing process. I've been to so many vets that push treatments and when the bill comes it can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Here, after consultation but before treatment they go over what they want to do, then give a range of cost based on unknowns. I knew what I was agreeing to, and after multiple visits I am continuously happy with the process. Can't recommend enough.

The people there are great, as is the care. We're pretty new clients, but so far all has gone well. The only challenge is the short hours, but they partner with Bishop Ranch to cover the gaps. I like that it's not one of those practices bought up by a big corporation, so the care is using the judgment of the doctor, not the corporate overlord.
