How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Angelus Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Took my dog in for E/R apt and was happy to get in right away but very displeased with the vet - aside from his sarcasm, seemed to be all about upselling - perhaps he gets commission for sales. I asked to speak to manager to let her know and she was too busy to hear it. The assistant and receptions were very kind and should teach customer service skills to others. In short, if you want good treatment for your furry baby- do not go there.

Agelus Pet Hospital the best of the best. If you really care about your pets this is the place to have them treated. Not only are the Doctors the best but may I say the staff is wonderful. Natalia is the best employee she really cares for our pets. My dog had surgery there and was out the door same day. It’s been 2 months and she is now doing great. Thank you to ANGELUS PET HOSPITAL STAFF my PRINCESS is alive and well

I made the poor choice of getting my beloved pet Mook euthanased here. Do your pet and yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Very traumatizing.

The only upside to this clinic was that I was able to get an appointment and treatment same day. Unfortunately I did get a sense that the vet was trying sell unnecessary procedures/treatments. Had we gone through with all the recommendations the bill would have easily come out to over a grand for what ultimately was a suspected UTI. It still came out to over $300. The receptionist also seemed annoyed when asking to use the restroom. Overall, I’m grateful for their services but would not recommend.

Angelus is a lovely animal hospital. One of the more affordable vet clinics I’ve found in the LA area. Dr. Teves is really great, and so are the vet techs! I had to bring both of my cats in for separate issues in the same week, and they gave me a good customer discount due to my situation. One cat swallowed a foreign object and the other had a bladder issue….needed x-rays for both cats, and in both cases Dr. Teves showed me the scans and went over his assessment with me in a lot of detail. I’ve never had a vet do that before! I was pretty emotional during this entire debacle, and he answered all of my questions and reassured me. They didn’t push unnecessary surgeries or treatments on me, which other vets in the area WILL do. Both cats bounced back quickly with their treatment plans and I will definitely bring them back for their check ups!
