How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

They were excellent, the vet and tech were so patient with my dogs, understanding that some have been abused. I appreciate their gentle hand and patience. I definitely recommend and will return

Would give a zero if I could. Rude staff who takes zero accountablity for lack of communication. I made an appt for a foster kitten we rescued and they refused to see him once we arrived. I wanted to take care of his appt before I leave town for two months and place him with another foster. Instead, I wasted an hour of my Sunday and more importantly refused to vax him simply b/c he was only with me five days (and the rescuer a week before). I work full time during the week and cannot take off work to take care of rescued animals. Why was there no pre appt paperwork or phone call, so I could have known they would not see him? They wasted my time, no apology just "We cannot help you." Horrible CS. Will no longer shop here.

We arrived and they didn't have the vaccine in stock that we had signed up for. We later found a text notifying us when we were already on our way. The folks at the store told us that they had been out of stock for months.

Didnt realize they would need proof when i told them i came for Lyme and canine flu boosters. This is not human medicine. This is dogs and many owners know what immunizations they have been giving their pets.
