How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Canyon State Veterinary Specialties
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

If you want to elevate your pet care- definitely go here! 1. It's beautiful, clean, and better than most Emergency Rooms at hospitals for people 2. Receptionists are professional 3. They actually CARE about your pet I'm just a dog grandma but when I picked up my kids' retriever from boarding, he had an ugly jole in his leg. I thought it was bot flies. One Urgent Care Vet didn't open til 9am. Another urgent care place turned us away after checking in and waiting an hour. No other animals were waiting. So this place looked expensive but I didn't care by then. Not only did they take him right back, the tech came back and told me the good news it was just an abrasion- no bot flies! Good news, but if it wasn't good news I feel confident they'd have known exactly what to do. I'll definitely drive a little further to use this place in the future.

They are the best! Very gentle, caring, and concerned about our fur babies. Great communication with us from start to finish. They definitely don't have an easy job, but they truly care and are compassionate. I appreciate all they do. Thank you! 🤗🐈🐶

I had an emergency with my feline in February 2024, they were able to help me when I couldn’t get in to see our regular veterinarian. They took good care of my cat, office & examination rooms were super clean. The staff were understanding and very polite. They have a beverage station in the waiting area. Thank you Canyon State Veterinary Specialties.

My ferret collapsed I rushed him here knowing he was passing away but not wanting to let him suffer. I don't remember alot of that day but I know I lost it in there. I don't remember names but the whole staff was amazing warm caring and I needed that in that moment. They wrapped him in a baby blanket and brought him back to me in a quiet room and let me hold my 8 year old baby just like when he was 8 weeks old. When it was time a lady came in and calmly explained every move she made. I felt him leave before she said it. They let me take my time with him for a while longer. I can't express to the staff there how much I appreciate them thank you from the bottom of my heart for the care ♥️ attached are photos of my baby coming home they handled him beautifully and brought him back to me just as beautifully. And a card with a drawing of my stinky boi. I hope there's an afterlife where I get to spend it with him

It was not that great I had to stay 3 hours. had to pay 700$ and when I paid extra. And there was a lady and she was talking back to me. They didn’t even know what was wrong with my dog and took hours! Stay away from these crooks!
