How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Flagstaff Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

What a fantastic first visit and warm welcome from the entire staff. My sassy 2 year old pug got dental cleaning and extractions done here with Dr. Folkers, and I was so nervous. Dr. Folkers is so personable, made me and my pup feel comfortable and took every effort to provide the best care. They texted me throughout the day with updates and for a follow-up the following days to make sure everything went well. I’m so impressed. They were very transparent and upfront about the cost, and I felt like he really cared about me and my pup. He showed me all the X-rays and bloodwork afterwards and answered all my questions. We’ve had zero issues, my pug is doing great, and I will now be seeing Dr. Folkers as my primary vet. I can’t recommend him and his clinic enough!

Flagstaff veterinary was very helpful as I had 2 kids under 4 and 2 large dogs by myself. They helped me unload and load up the pups and were super kind and patient. They had toddler friendly snacks and drinks which was very helpful! The office was clean and their prices were fair and not outrageous. I definitely felt like they cared for my pups and their well being. Will be making this my regular vet!

This is the best vet I have ever been to! Mine and my boyfriend’s dog wasn’t feeling well so we called the vet to get her seen to check on her. First impression over the phone was great! In person was even better! The they took care of our girl and not even 24 hours later she’s already feeling so much better! We are so grateful for the care and time they gave her! 100% would recommend to anyone!

We were on a cross country road trip and both of my dogs needed to be treated. They worked us in and every single person we encountered in the practice was so nice. No surprises on the bill and very affordable. I wish we could transplant their clinic to where we live! They provided exemplary care to both our pets and to us! Thank you!

I'll start by saying I drive a semi truck for a living. That means finding a reliable Vet for my 2 cats that travel with me is extremely difficult. Passing through flagstaff and this clinic was the only 5 star clinic within a 200 mile radius and now I know why. Dr. Folkers and his team were very accommodating and he made sure I understood the levels of a UTI in my long hair cat and what treatments were needed vs recommended. In and out within an hour. No pressure at all from anyone and my cat Blaze is feeling and doing much better post treatment. If I lived in flagstaff I would 100% make them my primary Vets!
