How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Health Center
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

The staff here are very attentive to your pets and very efficient with their service. Of course, Dr. Nies brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in her field. I will definitely be bringing all of my pets here for treatment in the future.

Extremely caring and helpful staff. My sister in law's dog was hurt while on vacation and this place was very accommodating! They were able to diagnose the problem and sent us on our way.

This place totally ripped us off. We took our dog here because he had a cough and we thought he had heartworms. They charged us over $400 to draw blood do an x ray and schedule us for another visit. No heartworm test. Second visit almost $500 and all they did was clean his ears and examine his teeth and tell me he needs teeth pulled and scheduled a third visit. Thurd visit over $600 and they pulled teeth and still no heartworm test. Told me they were going to schedule another visit. I told them to go eff themselves. When it all started my dog was coughing all the time, was barely getting up and doing anything. It seemed like he was going to die soon. After all that he was still doing all that same stuff only now he had clean ears and less teeth. We took him to a vet in mountain view and they immediately did a heartworm test that came back negative so they did x ray and discovered he has congestive heart failure. They have me meds to get the fluid off of his heart. Cleaned his ears and only charged me $156. It's now a week later and my dog is getting much more active and kind of playful again. He is coughing way less than he was. And he genuinely seems like he's getting better. I should mention he's a fifteen year old toy poodle. And thanks to the animal hospital in mountain view I think he's gonna be with us for quite a while longer. Point of this review is don't take your pet to this vet. Sure they smile and they're nice. But while they're smiling they've got their hand in your pocket talking your money and over charging for their mediocre services. Animal hospital in mountain view honestly cares for your pets health and they were much friendlier and informative. Avoid this animal health center at all costs. Your pocket book will thank you.

The staff is attentive and has a genuine love of animals. Their care is prompt and thorough. The facility is clean and parking is ample. Pricing is commensurate with other animal clinics in the area.
