How to Save Money at All Pets Animal Hospital (Bentonville)
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We brought our cat to all pets after a few emergency visits and attempted care at another facility in the area. We almost lost our fur baby. After having a terrible experience at a different facility, we found all pets. It happened to be in another emergency situation, and we couldn't continue to take him where he was going because they were not fixing the issue, just masking it for a week or two. (he has digestive problems). My husband showed up at All pet's doors first thing in the morning and basically said "we are not current clients of your, but our cat needs help." They took him right back to the doctor and worked on him, fixed him up and helped us find a TRUE treatment plan for him to keep him healthy and out of these emergency situations. It has worked wonders! I always feel like they take care of Oliver with as much love and attention as we give them. I won't take our pets to anyone else but all pets. Great staff, great facility and they don't try to get you to do things just to make money and keep you coming back for unnecessary appointments, it's all about the health of your pet... not just a money maker.

Our dogs have received wonderful care here. We've seen different doctors depending on their availability and they have all been great. Thank you for treating our girls well and for always being friendly and compassionate.

We love All Pets. Our cat has gotten excellent care at All Pets Bentonville. In particular, Dr. May, has been great. She’s helped walk us through decisions with pros and cons. It’s helpful that she’ll provide a recommendation and explain in detail why. She clearly studies new findings and methods – and will cite or elaborate o them if we have questions. We’ve recommended many friends to the clinic. One ended up needing to make the toughest decision with their dog. We knew Dr. May would understand their concerns, talk through options, and support them if they had to say goodbye. They did. And she did exactly that. The work of a veterinarian really is deep and wide and surely tough.

I dislike writing these reviews, but sometimes they are necessary. In my opinion, veterinarians and doctors should prioritize the health of their patients over profits. I have spent thousands of dollars at this clinic, as they have treated 7 of my dogs (2 of which were fosters, and 5 of my cats. They have also witnessed me grieving over the loss of my senior cat, who lived to be 19 years old. I mention all of this to emphasize my love for my animals and my willingness to pay any amount to ensure their well-being and comfort. A few weeks ago, I brought in my 6-year-old cat because she had blood in her stool. She was initially prescribed an antibiotic that worsened her symptoms, so I had to bring her back. Instead of simply changing her antibiotic as I suggested, they advised me to proceed with a full blood chemistry test and X-rays. I did not think both were necessary, so I proposed doing one or the other and using the process of elimination. Long story short, after spending $500, the blood test came back normal and my cat was given an antibiotic shot (which I had originally asked for). I called the clinic to request a refund for the blood chemistry charge, but they refused. This refusal indicates that they would rather lose more of my money than make things right. Needless to say, I will be switching to a different clinic.

Dr. May is truly a blessing. I brought my dog to her in critical condition, after no other office in my area would see him. She not only explained everything very well, but she also helped me figure out the best option for him given my circumstances. He pulled through and I can’t thank her and her team enough for their compassion and willingness to help.
