How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vet Care of Calera
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Vet Care of Calera is a fantastic veterinarian business. They're efficient, convenient & friendly to owners & our pets. One of my feral cats found me last summer. She had an eye missing, a beebee embedded in the skin on top of her skull & she needed spaying. They took care of everything in 1 day. My "go-to" vet from now on.

Dr. Hicks is the most caring veterinarian. I love that her clinic is certified Fear Free. The staff is wonderful with my pets. Our family has eight fur babies so affordable pet care is a necessity. Vetcare's prices are very reasonable. They accept care credit which helps with unexpected visits and I love the pet care savings plan which offers discounts on everything and puts money into a savings account monthly. Brilliant!! We recently moved and there are clinics closer but we won't be changing. Dr. Hicks is an exceptional veterinarian!

Dr. Hicks and her staff privide a stress free environment. My 9 year old puppy is not afraid to go in the door!! He is well cared for and examined well. Dr. Hicks will treat symptoms before running tests unless you want them done. She is considerate of both me and my dog. There are veterinarians closer to me, but we will continue to make the drive for the loving care we get here!!
