Great Service

The staff at ASPCA is really exceptional during a time when your own mind is on caring for a sick pet. They express concern about the welfare of the pet and promptly handle the insurance claim forms. Unfortunately I have had to use the insurance twice now but both times I've been very pleased with ASPCA's performance.

Fine if you don't use it

I have had a policy for my dog Quigley for 6 years and have only put in one tiny claim 5 years ago for $15 in medication. I tried to upgrade his policy to their whole pet plan and was denied because they say he has a preexisting condition of allergic dermatitis based on the one claim for meds for licking his paw 5 years ago! He has never been diagnosed with an allergy and they would not simply exclude allergies from an upgraded plan. They just said...no sorry, his preexisting condition means he can't be upgraded even with an exclusion. Ok--My vet has sent a letter to their underwriting department telling them that our dog does NOT have allergic dermatitis and was never diagnosed with that condition at any time. We will see what happens but needless to say, this is ridiculous. I am having a similar problem with my cat who also was denied an upgraded policy because I put in a claim for a test he had which showed a bacterial infection which is being treated by a 14 day course of antibiotics. When I applied for the policy upgrade, I told them I had put in the one and only claim for him and that he was on antibiotics and that did not seem to be an issue. First they said my cat was being denied the upgrade because he was too old (they showed he turned 10 on the day I called in and he must be under 10 years old by at least 2 weeks!). My vet showed he did not turn 10 until 9/28/17. So--vet faxes in the birth date they show. Now he was denied the upgrade again! this time it was because I put in a claim during the "renewal period". Not sure what that means since I've renewed every year for the past 7 years! then i am told that I can't try upgrading again after he is done with the antibiotics because then he will be too old! This is what I get for trying to use an insurance policy. Had I simply never put in any claims, they both would be on the upgraded policies now.

My Dog Joe Is Having Issues With ...

My dog Joe is having issues with prostatitis and infections. Without Pets Best I would not be able to acquire the best care possible for him. Thank you Pets Best for helping me take great care of Joe.

I Bought Pet Insurance, For The V...

I bought pet insurance, for the very first time, to cover my new puppy, Riley. My vet discussed with me that she recommended pet insurance to new owners because of the healthcare care advancements that are available and coming down the pike. I was able to use it for his first wellness visit on Tuesday and the claim was paid (with the exception of forty cents) on Saturday. That's faster than my own insurance company pays my claims. Here's to hoping I don't need anything other than the wellness coverage but if I do, I feel confident after my first claim was so quickly taken care of by Pets Best.

Our review of Embrace insurance

Embrace insurance is absolutely a great insurance for your pets. They pay after you meet your deductible and if you have a pet with problems like we do you pay the bill and submit the bill and they pay most of the cost. Embrace has been very good to us and our pet. He has had some severe problems and they have come through and helped with the expense within a couple of weeks at the most and they have sent emails to make sure we received our payments if we don't cash or deposit them right away. Embrace is definitely our choice for pet insurance and we thank them for all they do.

ASPCA's Personal and Customer Service is THE Best!

We have had two different dogs insured through this company for about 15 years. We have never had any issues with them and they have covered nearly all the claims submitted over the years, without any questions. From one dachshund accidentally drinking 1/2 of a frozen margarita on New Year's Eve to another dachshund eating strange things; to cancer treatment for one to herniated disk surgery for the other; ASPCA has covered all sorts of incidents. As others have stated, their customer service and personal follow up is superb. We received a phone call and a sympathy card after the loss of one dachshund to cancer and follow up calls of concern when another dachshund had extended bouts with "mystery" gastritis. They've always been prompt to process and reimburse for claims, but I love their newer system, which allows for uploading cell phone photographs of invoices and filling out claim forms online--super easy and my claim was processed that much quicker. This was especially helpful to have that option when we were in a hotel during a recent move. Thanks ASPCA for being there for us all these years!

Very helpful after my dog Calvin was hit by a car. Couldn't have afforded his treatments without the insurance. Do yourself a favor and make this investment in your pet. No pet should have to be put down due to monetary concerns when a service like this is an affordable way to prevent that scenario from taking place.
