They denied claims without reviewing them.I did have a pre exsisting allergy exclusion, but they used that to deny eye infections, anything. Also the Ortho exam is another way they exclude items when My puppy was less than a year.

I have had Pets Best Insurance on my two Boxers for a couple of years now. Pets Best has been a life saver for us financially and worth every penny in premiums!!! I have never waited longer than 4 days for reimbursement AND they directly deposit the reimbursement right into my checking account! Every time I have ever called their customer service I have always received the best service! I am admittedly hard to please but Pets Best is truly the BEST pet insurance EVER!

Recently one of my girls had a very rare tendon avulsion in her hind leg. She needed lots of xrays and an extensive surgery done by a specialist. We used our credit card for the purchases (which was over 2 grand) and within NINE days We had our money back the full 90 percent. Not only have I had great experience on the money side with Trupanion, but I am big on over the phone service. In the five years that I have been with Trupanion, I have NEvER gotten someone rude or that didn't know their stuff. They truly want to help in the best way they can. I feel very secure with my choice of Trupanion years ago and would never change my mind.

Take the time to read the clearly stated policies and procedures as you would with any insurance company before signing up, and you will not be disappointed. This insurance company clearly states what they do and do not cover. I have had two claims since I signed up in May, 2013 and both were handled efficiently. I had to call customer service on the first one, as they emailed me to let me know my vet had sent the insurance claim without their notes. They emailed me the claim so I could sign it (just a silly error by the reception office), and I obtained all notes, sent them off and they processed quickly. Insurance is insurance and there will always be frustration when you go to use it and find every exclusion in the book somehow applies to you, but so far, I've found Healthy Paws to be EXACTLY as they state. Nothing is "hidden".. I'm SO glad I chose them, and have complete peace of mind with their practices.

This is the first time I have purchased pet insurance for our furry family member, Monty, and the process has been smooth, the customer service reps were responsive and very courteous. I received good clear information regarding how to submit a claim and access the online portal features. Last spring, my claim submitted on 4/22/13 was processed and complete by 4/24/13 - 2 day turn around which is excellent. I am very pleased and will certainly recommend to friends and family.
