No logic and cookie cutter replies. Awful service
Omitted some names and other information such as account information from the copied email on purpose.
Since I can’t copy and paste a picture, I’m pasting the reply that my wife received from the company. A few things to clarify here. One, we are aware of the exam fee policy. Two, pannus is the eye condition that our dog was diagnosed with not our dog’s name. But you know, it’s a bit too much to ask for a personalized response as opposed to an automated message that declines you without even bothering to understand the situation. This immediately told us that they didn’t even bother to understand the situation but rather shot back a cookie cutter, automated reply.
Regarding the exam fee policy comment. Here is what we were trying to explain but naturally nobody wanted to listen. Pannus, for those unaware, is a lifelong condition. Treatment involves specialist visits and eye drops to prevent it from progressing further. I understand the company’s position on not being able to cover every exam fee; however, this is a different situation. It is a lifelong condition that will require regular visits. We aren’t trying to get coverage for every exam fee for normal vet visits. This is an exam that is necessary as part of the lifelong treatment of the condition. We aren’t taking her there because we have nothing to do and are just checking her eyes to make sure. In order to keep the condition in check, she requires regular vet visits which, you guessed it, require an actual exam. It is literally a part of the condition’s treatment. But as the title says, the company is only able to reply with auto generated emails and cookie cutter emails. I recommend you stay away!!
Email reply follows below:
Subject: RE: Claim 6511701
Hi ,
I hope this email finds you and Pannus healthy and well.
I want to help clarify why we choose not to include exam fees in our coverage.
Our policy was designed to help protect your finances while you give the care your pet needs for unexpected injuries and illnesses. An exam fee is commonly the flat administrative cost you can budget for each time you take your pet to the veterinarian, whether it’s a wellness appointment or your pet needs treatment. This fee can also differ greatly from one veterinary clinic to another.
We’re here to help protect you from veterinary costs associated with injuries and illnesses. By not including exam fees in our coverage, we can better protect you from unexpected, costly expenses while keeping our prices fair.
Hopefully this answers your question. If you have any others, feel free to respond to this email or give us a call anytime—we’re here 24/7.
All the best to you and the Family!
