Great everything
Everything has been almost perfect. I have Trupanion for 10 years, and only now I am able to test its quality. Trupanion as been awesome on all expects, quick and easy to process the claims. I would only recommend that Trupanion could do a better job explaining why the claim was not fully covered.

So far it's been okay on ur guys end of it this last time they kinda act like I suppose to fill the claim but I told them no no no trupanion is the reason why I pick them out of all the pet insurance they told me jus have the hosiptal put the claim through all I do is sit bk and have a piece of mine and that's wat im going to do they look at me and said well ms.walker I will fill the vlaim out I need his policy number I said no problem cus thats all I'm going to do they call me up apologize and they took it from the Go Trupanion!!!!!

Trupanion saved our dog's life!
Trupanion has saved our dog's life. He recently had emergency surgery with multiple complications, one of which involved needing a second emergency surgery. He has been in and out of the ER for the past month and still requires follow up care from an internal medicine specialist. His care started with our primary veterinarian, then over to our local ER, and then to a different ER that had the specific specialist he needed. Trupanion has paid EXACTLY what they said they would pay when I purchased the policy. The deductible was paid for the initial visit with our primary vet and then never charged again. They covered everything except the exam fees, a portion of the cost of prescription food, and our 10% portion of payments. They preapproved costs within a couple hours, approved final payments within minutes, and for those fees that were not direct billed, they reimbursed us within 48 hours (direct deposit into our account). I purchased the policy not 100% sold that I wanted to keep it, we were going to try it for a year and then likely cancel. We are going into our third policy year and purchasing the policy was the best decision we could've made. The value of being able to make critical care decisions based on the medicine and not have to be focused on the financial aspect was immeasurable. This type of insurance (illness and injury) is the type of thing you purchase hoping you will never need to use it. Some will say you are better off putting money in a savings account, and that may be true for many families, but the costs for our dog's care for this incident alone has been $30k+, that's a lot of money to be putting in a savings account for possible pet care needs. For me, I will gladly continue paying our monthly bill, with prayers that I never need to use it again.

Monthly Cost
Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.
Coverage
Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.
Payout Limits
The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit.
That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.
Deductible
If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.
Age Limits
All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life

Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details.
However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
