Trupanion is helping me with Biggie fight his liver problem at a 90% back from his very expensive medication. I highly recommen
As far as I'm concerned there isn't another insurance for pets that comes close to Trupanion. At a young age Biggie was diagnosed with a liver disease. He will be able to get the help he needs to try and get his liver figured out.

Questionable or the worst pet insurance
Trupanion is one of the worst experiences we’ve had in regards to insurance coverage for our pet.
In our case we have a 6 year old Pit Bull / Dachshund mix. Like most dogs she loves to chew things and sometimes ingests things. Prior to our enrollment with Trupanion on 11/2019 we had our dog at the Vet for a procedure to remove a sock and feminine product (tampon). In her 4 years of existence at the time she had only been to the Vet one other time from chewing on a Smoke Flavored Femur bone. Which we discovered on the internet is bad for dogs and many dogs end up in the Vet after chewing on them and ingesting them.
On 11/19 after spending $4000 on the procedure to save our dog we decided to look into insurance. Unfortunately we signed up with Trupanion. After explaining to the representative of Trupanion why we were seeking coverage and explaining the entire scenario to her we asked if it happened again would it be covered and she stated yes! Since 2019 until now, Jan 2022, she has only had one incident on12/21 that required her to have a n endoscopy to remove a foreign object from her stomach. We filed a claim and the first thing they did is deny the claim, claiming more information of my dogs medical history was required. Upon telling them you have all her history as she was never seen for anything else they denied the claim again a week later stating it is a incident that has occurred 2 times prior.
Totally inaccurate as the first one was a femur bone. They basically take your money, know your dog’s history tell you “yes you’ll be covered”, then deny you with no recourse but legal action.

Best thing I ever did was get Trupanion Pet Insurance!!
I was adviced by Paris' first doctor when she was 3 months old to get Trupanion Pet Insurance while she was young. I'm so glad I listened. I have had this insurance now for 12 years. I feel so secure knowing that I can give her the best care in her aging years. Trupanion is always caring and courteous. They pay the claim before the doctor cashes the check. I refer friends to Trupanion all the time because I can't believe that people have pets and can't provide them with the best care if they have an accident or become il. Thank you Trupanion for enabling me to have the best Forever Home for my darling Paris. You're the best!!!

Monthly Cost
Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.
Coverage
Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.
Payout Limits
The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit.
That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.
Deductible
If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.
Age Limits
All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life
Waiting Period
Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details.
However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
Like many other pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions. Whichever insurer you choose, it pays to enroll early!
