Longer waiting period for enrolling on Sundays/Holidays
Used to be really good but now I am getting really frustrated. I signed my new dog up on 1/15/23, which was a Sunday night and Monday was MLK Jr day. There must have bee. Some issue or delay with her coverage going into effect because they claim her enrollment date was 1/17/23. That is impossible as my mom is the primary with the password and due to work was out of town and unreachable starting g 1/16/23. I didn’t realize it until recently because I was preparing to use my coverage for the new dog, and learned that, not only will it might not be covered (only way is if it is for an accident), but they refuse to backdate her enrollment to the correct date. I never would have risked doing the pre-surgical panel beige her spay, which is 22 days out, before the waiting period is over because that would be stupidest. The vet did the panel on 2/15/23. They are saying some of the results could declare certain things pre-existing, again from an error on their end. I have offered to email over proof, and they refuse to work with me and accept anything. They will not own up to their mistakes. On top of that, they are claiming dental procedures, such as extractions, will not be covered because her records from before I adopted her said dental disease, even if she has a dental and the disease goes away, it will always be pre-existing. It’s not right to consider something pre-existing on an now 10 month old puppy before I got the dog. If they were not the only ones to be able to pay the vet directly, I would cancel my plan. Used to be easy to work with, but they have become difficult recently.
