Best coverage and service
I have had this insurance for my Brady since he was 6 months old. Sadly after his 2nd birthday he became sick with Pancreatitis. Ever since then he has had bouts of gastritis and recently had a surgery due to a hernia/liver lobe in his chest cavity. Every step of the way the support I have from Trupanion and the knowledge that I can provide whatever to ensure my baby is well cared for knowing that I have the insurance to help financially. Every time I have sent in a claim with in a week the check is in my mailbox. Never an issue with a claim being paid. When my boy had surgery in Feb within 11 hours I had the pre-approval for his surgery sent back to me. I have dealt with the customer service people on several occasions and they have always been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They always ask about my fur baby and when I adopted another baby in May I quickly signed her up as well. I can't thank this insurance company enough because it has allowed me to provide care that I may not otherwise been able to afford.

very supportive & reliable insurance company
Trupanion is the best pet insurance company that I do not hesitate to recommend any pet owners and I actually did that with my co-workers & other pet owners @ the Vetcare/emergencyclinic. The staff @ the company is very supportive and there is always someone answer the phone( not the machine)& treat the customers nicely; there is the human touch ! Pet owners need that at the time of distress when their pets are injured
or very sick and most important is that we know that we have the financial support to help with the big bills. They have done above and beyond !!! A big "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart.

they were the best
I had other pet insurance and by far Trupanion is the best. They make it easy and they pay you immediately. Most importantly when my dog passed they were kind, empathic and sent me a note to say how sorry they were. That meant the world to me.

Trupanion is true to their word!
Trupanion paid 90% of a $19,000 bill. Trupanion fast tracked and pre approved our Bentley's surgery.
He needed not only back surgery, but his neck too. (IVDD) When I called to make sure even though I spoke
To different people they were on it read his file and reassured me that everything is fine. Not only did they pay for surgery but we had their RECOVERY AND REHABILITION which they paid 90% of his hyperbaric chamber treatments. Within one week of leaving the hospital check was paid. Bentley is back and is doing GREAT. For a minimum $70 per month get real TRUPANION is the pet insurance to get.
Monthly Cost
Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.
Coverage
Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.
Payout Limits
The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit.
That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.
Deductible
If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.
Age Limits
All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life

Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details.
However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
Like many other pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions. Whichever insurer you choose, it pays to enroll early!
