First Timer
Well, I first called in to ask about how the claims process works and all my questions were answered to my expectations. I was impressed. I filed not one but two claims: one after another because they were for two different visits. I thought they would ask me questions - they didn’t. I had all my paperwork, all the receipts, they verified everything and everything was done in a satisfactory timeframe. I think it took probably less than two days to get my portion refunded to me. Thank you for a worry free process.

This was the best insurance I could’ve…
This was the best insurance I could’ve gotten for my pet. Not only was the process easy but to get reimbursed 80% was amazing fast and easy process. I will recommend this insurance to all my friends and family already started. Thank you so much.

Very pleased
The agent was very helpful answering my questions. He put my mind at ease about how future increases work. He told me exactly what percent the increase is at what pet's age so I know what to expect. The premium is much better than the other company I was with for almost identical coverage. The waiting period is a flat 14 days for accident and illness.
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). plan costs vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250, $500, $750 or $1000 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
Spot Pet Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
