Scary allergic reaction
Our 1 year old golden retriever had an allergic reaction. It came on suddenly when his face swelled up, and he was rubbing his head on the floor and frantically itching and pacing. We went to the emergency vet to make sure he wasn't going into anaphylactic shock, and get a shot of Benadryl and a steroid to stop the swelling. All seemed good until the next night, when he started vomiting and couldn't keep food down. Back to the emergency vet for another exam, more shots, and anti nausea medicine. They recommended we go to our regular vet in the morning for x rays to make sure he hadn't ingested something toxic. This wasn't a cheap few days, but we kept telling ourselves "This is why we have pet insurance". It's easy to submit claims online, and Spot Pet did exactly what they said they would for the plan we have. I've used other pet insurance, and Spot Pet is by far the best I've used. We love our golden and want to give him the best care, and having Spot Pet gave us peace of mind during a stressful time. Thank you for helping us with our baby boy!
