Spot is so easy to deal with

Spot is so easy to deal with, has the easiest submission forms for claims. They are fast adjudicating claims and have paid out better than any other pet insurance I have been with in the past 20 years. We’ll see if prices go up at renewal, but so far they have really been reasonable. For reference I have a 7 year old small dog, who needs things here and there, but isn’t chronically ill and hasn’t had major things. Praying it stays that way. But where other insurances wanted thousands a year just because of age, Spot gave us a reasonable rate and is super easy to deal with.

Rusty, our diabetic dog "child"!

When our Rusty was diagnosed with diabetes, we were crushed. However, we knew we had SPOT on our side, and now we can afford to give Rusty the care that he deserves. Rusty was a stray, and honestly, I never want to know his story. He is loved and cared for now, and that's all that matters. Enrollment was easy and service has been top notch!!

This pet insurance is amazing

This pet insurance is amazing, great monthly fees, you pick your needs, and customize your plan. When my dog needed surgery, it was no problem, I was reimbursed in 3-5 days. I highly recommend this pet insurance!

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). plan costs vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750 or $1000 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. Spot Pet Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
