BAD SPOT! NO!
Bad start to the relationship with SPOT. We got a 8 week old pure bred Great Dane puppy. We signed up for SPOT day 1 of bringing him home. Unfortunately, at his 11 week birthday de developed loose stools and diarrhea with a cough. this was concerning so we took him to the vet multiple times. I let the vet run whatever diagnostics they believed to be needed to sort him out and then submitted the claims to SPOT to go again our $1K deductible. Spot denied the claim, saying they needed his "ENTIRE CHART" (keep in mind, this is a brand new PUPPY! I had the vet directly email them the chart and CC me to make sure it was done. SPOT as continued to sit on the claim for weeks. They won't even need to pay out for this claim! this will only go against his deductible! We had Nationwide Pet insurance with our last dog and for 10 years we had zero problems and rapid claim processing! never once did Nationwide ask for a "Chart" from the vet, only the itemized invoice from the vet. I am stunned and repulsed by this experience and will be looking for alternative insurance for our puppy. This was NOT a good way to start our relationship SPOT!
