Could not be a worse experience

Really really terrible. Please trust me when I say these other reviews are absolutely fake. We did everything right, submitted bills, left vet info, emailed multiple times, and never even got a call back. Once we did call them to see where the process of just getting our deductible properly lowered from visits to the vet, we told that they never had anything submitted and to resubmit all the information. So no worries did it once, and did it all again. Waited for 5 days, they told us that nothing (standard vet check up, with medicine for an ear infection, and allergies medicine) was a pre existing condition. An ear infection isn’t a pre existing condition. Literally such a scam, please for the love of your dog and pets don’t send a penny to them. It’s been nothing but awful and I guarantee that these reviews have to be fake. Read them they all sound like a robot. I can verify mine very easily.

My claim was completed on September 5th

My claim was completed on September 5th and I was told it would only take 1 to 2 business days to receive that reimbursement. Here it is September 11th and they cannot provide a confirmation number nor ensure me that the funds have been sent. I was instructed to call my bank. My bank mentioned that there was not anything pending from this company. I am getting the run around and still no explanation provided.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). plan costs vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750 or $1000 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. Spot Pet Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
