Find Sonnet to be for me affordable
Find Sonnet to be for me affordable, easy to use and very competitive. Would encourage others to check out the policies and prices of auto and home insurance with Sonnet, and share in the savings.
Overall I have been very pleased with the good customer service I have received from Sonnet pertaining to my automobile, for the last several years. The quick response to all my needs was very appreciated during those times. I have already recommended Sonnet to my neighbors and friends and a couple of them have signed up with Sonnet. When I recommend something as important as auto insurance, it is indicative of my confidence in that company, product, services etc..
Feels like a bit of a rip off. Pricing was not clearly communicated to me (probably was to the company but buried somewhere in documentation). I felt I had to pay extra or more than needed at times when making changes to my insurance. Ended up paying an additional $200 or so for my car because I was a day or two from cycle date of the month. And for my home insurance there are 2 random months the price is more for a reason I still don't know, the customer service person didn't really clearly explain it. Anyway, just leaves a negative vibe in such a way that it is now hard to recommend Sonnet to people. Sucks because they were great to start but the experience fizzled out.
Better than the rest but not great. The agents can't provide discounts or explain how the policy price is determined. If you change credit cards it takes them forever (15 days) to switch your payment to a new card, if they charge an old expired card you then have to wait 10+ days for them to retry the charge rather than the agent manually getting it to reattempt. Their phone support is fairly useless as the Sonnet program is mostly automated. Their per vehicle pricing is super skewed, a 93 high value Mercedes costs 60% less to insure than a 99 Corolla. Overall not a terrible company, but some changes would be great. Only real benefit is the online system and being able to get insurance on a Sunday or at midnight.
