So far, so good

So far, so good. Insurance was easy to get and even better that I could compare all of the major pet insurance companies on one site! I had a notebook full of information trying to compare and find the best insurance for my pups. We haven’t had to use it, yet, but looking forward to all of the great coverage it offers.

Pumpkin Pet Insurance ~ Peace of Mind

I compared the benefits of many many insurance companies and chose Pumpkin for my Standard Poodle, Bella. I like having choices of deductibles, out of pocket, annual routine vet visits, medications, as well as a 90% coverage of expenses! I choose what fits my budget and peace of mind and Bella’s medical coverage! Pleased that her claims can be quickly and easily filed online and turnaround time of payment is minimal!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
