Customer Service has been great

Customer Service has been great ! My questions are always answered politely. I signed up for Pumpkin Insurance for my new puppy, Hunter. I submitted my first claim and was reimbursed directly to my checking account. Very easy process. Thank you for your great insurance ease of filing claims for reimbursement. A fantastic company

Pumpkin has been outstanding with their communication when I file a claim or have questions. They pay the claims extremely quickly and I have never had any problems with this company at all.

No notice of cancellation.

Iā€™ve been canceled twice without notice. Every time I have to wait another 14 days for coverage to continue. Seems a bit odd to me.

The claim process is very easy

The claim process is very easy. Pumpkin always sends email updates and let's me know they received my claim. They promptly process my claims. Whenever I have a question, customer service is very helpful. You get to talk to a real person.!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say ā€œyesā€ to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkinā€™s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
