HAPPY CAMPER

HAPPY CAMPER I had just begun the process of shopping for pet insurance. Pumpkin was the first call. I bought the coverage based on that first call. The presentation was so thorough - it answered every question including the ones I didn’t know I should be asking. I HATE doing this type of research. Pumpkin made it simple. Thank you. Outrageous Price Increases

I have been with this company for a little over 5 years now and I am sorry to lower their ratings. However, they are getting out of hand with this price increases and its becoming unacceptable. I went from the last increase to $183 to now $215. That is ridiculous! The only reason I give them with 2 stars is because outside of their price increase I never had an issue. I will start to shop around!

I'm not even sure my dog is insured…

I'm not even sure my dog is insured with you. I filled out everything and put in my credit card number; but, I have gotten nothing supporting coverage.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
