I do love being able to file a claim online
I do love being able to file a claim on your website, it makes it very easy to file the claim. The only thing I would love to see change is having to put in a date for when the illness/injury first occurred when it is an ongoing medical condition. It would be great if you could add a button to say it is an ongoing illness so you don’t have to try and remember when the illness first occurred.

Easy, honest, and timely
We have 3 dogs that have all had Pumpkin insurance since they were puppies. It is easy to submit their claims and reimbursement has always been quick and correct. They never try to get around covering things with "hidden exceptions".

My Pumpkin Review
Whenever I had to call Pumpkin, their staff is always friendly and professional. My claims have been processed very quickly. I would give Pumpkin ten stars!
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
