The claim was processed quickly!

The claim was easy to submit, but the most surprising thing was that not only was my claim approved, but it was processed and paid so quickly. Before this experience, I thought Prudent Pet might look for ways to deny claims. I was pleasantly surprised that they did what was right. I now feel confident that this insurance is worth keeping.

Grand Slam in customer service…

I had several questions before signing up for a new policy and Stephanie T was so helpful in answering my questions and making everything so very easy for me. She was attentive, knowledgable, efficient, friendly and followed through quickly with emailing another form I requested - a Grand Slam when it comes to customer service!

Monthly Cost

Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.

Coverage

We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.

Payout Limits

We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan.  There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.

Deductible

Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.

Age Limits

We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies. Optional Wellness Details We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount. *Correct Jan. 2019
