Good experience signing up for pet insurance

The experience of signing up (with Rebecca!) was absolutely 5 stars....actually 6 stars! She helped me make good health and financial decisions about Lottie's coverage and was transparent about those decisions. She's honest and helpful and patient. I've been meaning to get pet coverage for 2 months and feel good that I finally did it - thanks in large part to Rebecca. That happened today so I have no input yet about Prudent Pet except that they hire good people.

Rebecca was AMAZING

Rebecca was AMAZING! She answered every single question that I had and made it easy to understand. Every company needs a representative like her. I haven't had that good of an interaction with someone like her in years. I am happy to say that I am so very comfortable with the policy I went with after speaking with her and I can't wait to be a long term client of theirs. I will be recommending more of my friends and family to prudent pet insurance all because of her. Thank you Rebecca!

Monthly Cost

Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.

Coverage

We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.

Payout Limits

We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan.  There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.

Deductible

Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.

Age Limits

We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies. Optional Wellness Details We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount. *Correct Jan. 2019
