Prudent Pet Insurance Purchase (No Pressure)

I talked to Rebecca from Prudent Pet looking for an affordable insurance plan for my 5 yr. old rescue dog. Rebecca was very professional, informative and tailored a plan to fit our breed of dog and our budget. She answered all my questions, was prompt and followed through on phone calls. There was no pressure to purchase a plan immediately, like some other companies I talked to. I felt extremely confident in purchasing insurance from Prudent Pet and feel our dog, Max, is in great hands! Great Experience!!!!

Prudent pet was so amazing

Prudent pet was so amazing. My questions were answered quickly. The process of filing a claim was easy. My reimbursement was prompt. They were so helpful. This was the first claim I had to file and it was for an expensive surgery. So happy I found Rudent Pet.

Monthly Cost

Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.

Coverage

We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.

Payout Limits

We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan.  There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.

Deductible

Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.

Age Limits

We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies. Optional Wellness Details We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount. *Correct Jan. 2019
