I had been with another pet insurance…

I had been with another pet insurance for other pets that have since passed away. Unhappy with this other nationally recognized insurance name, I sought out another company. I have been with Pets Best for almost 4 years with one of my dogs and just added a new puppy to the policy. Pets Best is superior to the other companies providing pet insurance. Claims are easy to submit and are processed in a timely manner. The prices for their policies is competitive and I have found them to cover more conditions with better reimbursement. Pets Best is the only policy that gives money towards spay and neutering when looking at the competition. This speaks volumes as most of you know that if you are not going mate your female dog, it is best to spay which can protect the reproductive health from cancer. The other policies will push extra cancer riders on you without providing any money back for spay/ or neutering that is preventative care for serious health problems that could develop later in life. I am happy knowing that my pets are protected by Pets Best.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
