Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

My 14 year old dog starting having food problems and after many tests at the vets., it was determinded that she had cancer. I had to have her put down. All my claims were paid within 10 days each time. I was so grateful that with all the saddnss I was going thru, claim checks were something I did not have to worry about. Thank you Pets Best!!!!

I did a LOT of thorough research on pet insurance as we have a puppy English Bulldog, which are prone to so many health issues (most of which are excluded in other insurance plans like VPI - i.e. cherry eye, ACL issues, etc). Luckily we got the insurance at the perfect time -- one month after getting the policy she got pneumonia, then a slew of other skin allergy issues, none of which were previous conditions. I've regligiously submitted my bills and forms via fax, and through the process have spoken to the Pets Best customer service reps many times over the phone -- everytime they are responsive, helpful, and compassionate. The are able to answer my questions honestly, and provide me with info that I sometimes even forget to ask! I've called to ensure that a specific procedure is covered - and they always give me a straight answer. I've never been led astray by Pets Best, and they have covered every one of my vet bills just as promised -- $75 deductible on every diagnosis, and then they pay at 80% of the remainder. EVERY TIME. I highly recommend Pets Best, and have encouraged all my other bulldog owning friends to sign up ASAP. Thank you Pets Best for being so helpful! 8/21/2008

My 6 month old Dobe ate a sewing needle and needed a surgical extraction and extended care. Submitted $550+ claim and got $329.00 back. Took a bit longer than I expected... but the customer service folks were friendly and showed me the new claim check feature they installed online. I'd recommend after this experience.

Pets Best looks like a great insurance company, but how can you have a great company if your customer care is poor? Wanting to know more about this company and it's coverage, I emailed some simple questions to customer care, but I never got a response. I was sent advertisements for enrollment (several times over), but even after I sent a new email, with the first message attached, I received nothing in response. Why would I give my money to a company who won't even pay attention to me!

I signed up with Pets Best around the first part of the year when my new dog arrived in January. Your insurance company was recommended by my vet Glenn Craft, Laguna Niguel, CA. My intention was to avoid filing a claim at all costs unless a major medical problem occured with my dog Darby. Unfortunately, the dog managed to swallow a chunk of rubber that became lodged in her intestine and required immediate emergency surgery and generated a knock-out vet bill. I decided to file two claims with Pets Best for the event. I have to tell you that I was totally impressed with your prompt response in reimbursing me for expenses. Pets Best did exactly what it said it would do with no questions. Everything was straight-forward with no complications. Great customer service Pets Best!!! I wish I could say the same about most of the other businesses I deal with on a day to day basis. I referred a co-worker to your company. He liked what he saw on your website and signed up.
