Rates Doubled at Renewal
Coverage was affordable for a fairly decent plan, but once the one year policy auto renewed it literally DOUBLED in price. This is obviously a power move for them, because if you switch insurances any previous ailments are not longer covered by new insurance due to be pre-existing. I would look into another company for Pet Insurance and get data about their average annual rate increases.

Emergency Vet Visit
Our 3 year cat had to be taken to the emergency vet. She wasn't using the litter box, eating, or drinking. Our regular vet was closed for the night and we felt like we had no choice but to take her to the emergency vet. We spent 6 hours there waiting for the results, worrying about every little thing that could be wrong. But, honestly, I never worried about the cost, I knew we picked a good plan through Pets Best.
In the end our kitten was taken care of wonderfully by the vets' staff (back to normal after fluids and pain meds), and we were taken care of by Pets Best.

Pets Best - fast, friendly, thorough
Pets Best - they are fast, friendly, and thorough.
We did a lot of research when trying to figure out who we wanted to use for our pet insurance, and I am so glad that we picked Pets Best. They always explain what my claim submission results are, regardless of the outcome. Preventative care, emergency care, and those random, pop up illnesses - they carefully consider it all from your invoices.

Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date.
