Excellent Customer Service and Terrific Coverage

We have been thrilled with both the customer service provided by Pets Best and the coverage. We have had coverage from Pets Best since our black lab Rosie was a puppy. My husband originally thought I was crazy and questioned the need for pet insurance but we have had two major claims in the past two years. One was for mast cell tumor removal and the other was for a fully torn ACL and torn meniscus. So far our claims have totaled about $4000. Whenever I call for information I am always directed to a compassionate human being who listens to my request and tells me exactly what to do and what is covered. The representatives are excellent. The claims process is so easy (all online) and professional and the funds are deposited directly into my bank account. Rosie is almost 8 years old and my husband will tell you now that this was one of the best decisions HE ever made! We recommend Pets Best very highly!

Always fair, always reliable

I've been a customer for several years and PetsBest always impress me on their efficiency, their promptness of payment, and even their digital and web presence which makes submitting a claim easy. They don't give you the run around, they pay what they promise and they do it quickly. Exactly what you want from an insurance provider.

Smooth sailing!

I signed up for insurance for my 8 year old cat (very affordable!) Lola, in case anything were to happen to her. Wouldn't you know it, she got sick about a month later. I've had to take her to 2 vet appointments and one specialist in the last few months. Pets Best has a great customer service chat- they're very helpful and answered all my questions. The process of fulfilling Lola's deductible, submitting claims and getting feedback has all been very smooth. As soon as her deductible was met, Pet's Best sent me an e-mail (within a few business days) with an itemized list of reimbursement letting me know what was covered and what wasn't. I haven't signed up for direct deposit yet, but I should be getting the first check in 5-7 business days (her vet appointment was 4 business days ago). I would definitely recommend Pet's Best to anyone looking for insurance for their fur kid. Highly worth it.

Money saver, life saver.

We've have this insurance for our Cavalier King Charles, Shamus, for over three years, and it's saved us from spending over $8,000 in that time. When Shamus was one, he needed emergency surgery to remove a foreign object stuck in his intestines. Soon after, we filed a claim with Pets Best, and in a matter of days were paid about 80% of the total costs. Last month, the poor dog had a respiratory crisis and needed surgery to shorten his soft palate and ease his breathing. We filed a claim with Pets Best last Wednesday and received the explanation of benefits 6 days later (covering 80% of the costs again). It's incredibly easy to use their site and file a claim, and their response time is quick. I'm so glad we got this insurance. I never imagined the accidents and surgeries our dog would have to endure, but he's our life and we're so lucky we found Pets Best to come to his/our aid when we need it the most.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
