Submitting A Claim Is Quick And E...
Submitting a claim is quick and easy. In the past when claims have been denied and I wasn't sure why I just called customer service. Overall the claims submission process seems to work smoothly. I can always expect an answer within about a week. When I talk to people about Pets Best I usually highlight how painless claims submission is.

I felt cheated by the way my payment was calculated
I have been with Pet's Best for eight years and liked them until I recently submitted my first serious claim.. They used some tricky math to swindle me out of $300 on the claim. The policy description says they pay 70% after a $1000 deductible, but in fact they apply the deductible to their 70% share, reducing the effective payment to about 65%. I told them I thought this was unconscionable, and their reply was "this underwriter calculates it that way." I would have given them fewer stars, but their customer service folks are very nice and they did process my claim quickly. But the policy description is misleading at best.

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.

$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
