I Bought Pet Insurance, For The V...

I bought pet insurance, for the very first time, to cover my new puppy, Riley. My vet discussed with me that she recommended pet insurance to new owners because of the healthcare care advancements that are available and coming down the pike. I was able to use it for his first wellness visit on Tuesday and the claim was paid (with the exception of forty cents) on Saturday. That's faster than my own insurance company pays my claims. Here's to hoping I don't need anything other than the wellness coverage but if I do, I feel confident after my first claim was so quickly taken care of by Pets Best.

I'M Happy That Most Of The Charge...

I'm happy that most of the charges for annual exams are reimbursed, but confused as to why some medications (for trauma) weren't. I don't clearly understand the "deductible" per pet.

This Was A Wellness Claim For My ...

This was a wellness claim for my dog's annual vaccinations. Pets best reimbursed me the maximums allowed per vaccine. This was a huge relief as this is one of our biggest annual expenses with our dog and it's great to know pets best has our back!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
