My dog is 5 years old and last year I had unexpected medical bills that added up to over $1,000.00. So this year I researched to buy pet insurance for my little guy. Pets Best had the best policy for the cost. I had to file my first claim in July 2017 and they were great to work with, answering questions I had and very helpful. I have reccommended Pets Best to my family and friends who have dogs. Buying this insurance is one of the best decisions I have made. I never realized the high cost of taking my dog to urgent care, just for blood test & x-rays. Thank you for a great policy.

I mail claims. They notify received. Send explanation and deposit into my account. Process works for me. I have a dog with both cushings and diabetes and response on insurance very good

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
