More than satisfied with Pets Best.

These were the final claims before my pet died of cancer. She came to us as a stray and she was insured by Pets Best for nearly the entire 11 years that I had her. Because of the many health problems that surfaced after I insured her, I think Pets Best probably lost money on us over the time she was insured. However, they never denied a covered claim nor did they cancel our insurance which surprised me. I am currently without any pets, but if I ever get another one, I will apply for Pets Best coverage. I have been more than satisfied with this company and with every customer service representative who has helped me over the years because, despite the notice that our conversations were being recorded, their reps always acted like they were working for me instead of the company.

Excellent service.

Bart is a wonderful terrier mix we have had for 10 years. Lately he has had some issues. He lost weight and was suffering from gastritis. We were very worried. He needed some tests. We got them done. Pets Best Insurance covered them. Thank you Pets Best! Bart is in good hands! Excellent service. Prompt payment. Excellent explanation of benefits.

You made a big difference in my dog's life.

We didn't know what was wrong with my Maltese-Poodle mix, a rescue. She kept having diarrhea. We changed her diet and that helped a bit, but not enough. The vet wanted her to have an ultrasound, which costs $859 in CA. I am retired and on a fixed income and couldn't have gone ahead with Josie's ultrasound if it hadn't been for Pets Best. You paid my claim within two weeks of my filing it, and since I had met my annual deductible, I got most of the money I spent back. You made a big difference in my dog's life, and mine, too. Plus, the ultrasound showed what was wrong and we are now addressing it. Josie will be just fine!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
